Excellent package for this price
I bought this Kodak Playsport Camcorder last week , I've been exploring it's capabilities but I didn't take it to water yet ,It's very solid made , Extremely easy to use , the 1080p is some how ok But the 720p @ 60 FPS is over Great , HDMI output is very very good @ 720p@60 FPs much better than 1080 .
still photos are not that good @ 5 MP but it's acceptable ( Just like my HTC touch HD phone )
End Results , This is a very good HD camcorder ,very smooth video flow ,this is because the 60 FPS , Just make sure to get minimum 16 GB SD card CLASS 6 ( Not 4) to get a good 3 hours recording .

Perfect for snorkeling
I got Kodak Playsport just before heading out for some snorkeling in the Caribbean.
It was the perfect device for the trip:
- Small enough to carry everywhere
- Easy to use, even under water
- Shoots both video (High Def) and still photos
- Waterproof (works fine in salt water)
- Removable storage: I did not bring a PC to offload the day's clips, instead I just bought a pack of 2GB SD cards with me.
- USB charger (Incl. small 110AC-to-USB plug, small enough to carry around)
- The case has a hole for a wrist strap or tether (very important in deep water)
- 720P/60 video capture for smooth motion portrayal (30 frames/sec is not enough,
in particular in higher ocean swell)
I was most surprised that even under water it was easy to switch both between video and still picture modes and even to play back and delete clips when too much wave action messed up the shot.
The Arcsoft SW does what I wanted in terms of trimming clips and has some easy to use features for adjusting the color on the still pictures, in particular those taken in cloudy conditions where the contrast and colors were muted under water.*By Inogo Montoya
